In the last several introductions, Department 56 references the area of London known as Regent's Park. This enormous park is home to famous London attractions such as the Zoo, places for the arts, and museums. It will be used for several Olympic competitions in the upcoming 2012 games. One of the most notable features of the park is the boating lake. In Victorian England, one could rent a punt, or small rowing boat from a dwelling not unlike our new Regent's Park Punt Rental.

Porcelain details include the rocky shoreline that lines the rear of the building, hardware on the walls to secure the boats, buckets on deck provided in case bailing is needed, and a charming sign advertising availability of picnic hampers.
