Department 56 - Tilton Station

Size: 8 x 6 x 6.75"

Collector Notes:

  • Introduced December, 2009

Design was inspired by the train station in Tilton, NH, which today is still downtown Tilton, on main street. Tilton NH settled in 1762 as Sanbornton Bridge, name changed to Tilton in 1869. With close examination, one finds many details on this building: The spout on the water tower for filling the steam engines, sacks of mail awaiting transport to towns down the line, luggage on the platform, and clock set of 5' to 6' - a Department 56 icon.
