| Great News!!!The Byers family hosted a factory open house for retailers on October 5th, 2009 for the Wooden Duck and other select retailers as appreciation for their support to Byers over the years. For this special occasion, Joyce designed some unique Carolers that were only available to those retailers that attended the factory open house. Each of these Carolers comes with an added bonus, they are personally signed by Joyce Byers!! | As in past years, Joyce Byers has designed two Fall Carolers, "Woman and Girl Shopping at Market" (shown on the right) that have rich and vibrant Fall colors and accessories. In addition, with October known as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Byers has developed a program aptly named "Think Pink" to promote Breast Cancer awareness. Special "Think Pink Carolers" (shown on the left) have been designed by Joyce to draw attention to this program, and at least $2 of each "Think Pink" Caroler purchase will be donated to breast cancer research. ... | This year's Mid-Year Carolers are sure to appeal to Caroler collectors everywhere. The Pink Ribbon is easily recognized as the symbol for breast cancer awareness and the color pink has become well established with the cause. Joyce Byers discovered some unique pink ribbon fabric and she realized that she had to design a Caroler for this wonderful cause. | The boat as finally docked from Lucca, Italy carrying " Sergio the Cheese Peddler", the latest Byers' Choice Store Exclusive at the Wooden Duck. It has been a very long journey for him to meet his betrothed, " The Wine Maiden" (see below), who is back after being sold out last year. | The Wooden Duck is excited to announce a new line appropriately named "Aunt Liz's Attic" that features handmade designs made out of vintage quilts, linens, wools, and old laces. Like Byers' Choice, these designs are Made in America
by Liz Carroll and local senior citizens utilizing their sewing skills
for the basics and then Liz adds the detail. Her designs are for
